RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
If you have a damaged or decayed tooth, it is important to seek treatment as soon as possible. Through our restorative services, Cedar View Dental can help end discomfort and take the necessary steps to return your teeth to full health.
Our primary goal is always to save healthy teeth, and no additional procedures will be suggested unless they are required. However, if more significant measures are essential for your dental health, we offer implants and other replacement tools to help restore the appearance and beauty of your smile.
Here are many of the restorative services we offer. If you would like to schedule an appointment or ask any questions about the options below, we would love the opportunity to help. You can reach us at (425) 778-2126.
WHITE FILLINGS
Cavities threaten your smile in two ways. In addition to oral health problems, they can also cause brown and black holes in teeth. White fillings are the most common treatment for cavities. By replacing the damaged and diseased area of your tooth with a material that blends in with the surrounding structure, fillings offer a beautiful way to make your teeth healthy again.
CROWNS
Sometimes weak, worn or broken teeth need more help than fillings can offer. In these situations, a tooth-shaped cap, called a crown, covers the infected tooth and provides the structural support necessary to return the tooth to its natural size and strength.
ROOT CANALS
If cavities are left untreated long enough, the decay can reach the inside canals of the tooth where the nerve and blood vessels are located. This condition can cause extreme pain to temperature and chewing. To relieve this pain and bring the tooth back to health, root canals clean and seal the inside of the tooth.
BRIDGES
All of our teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing and overall oral health. A lost tooth must be replaced to maintain the proper function in your mouth. When a gap has two strong teeth on either side, those teeth can be joined with three connecting crowns. Along with many cosmetic benefits, bridges of this type return the chewing strength to the area and keep your smile healthy.
IMPLANTS
When a tooth or multiple teeth go missing, an implant is one of the best options for replacement. Implants have changed the face of dentistry over the past two decades. They are small titanium screws that mimic the shape of a tooth root. When placed in bone, your body fuses to the implant — a process called osseointegration — giving the implant a fresh, root-like structure. When paired with crowns, bridges or dentures, implants reproduce the look, feel and function of natural teeth. Implants are strong, have a very high success rate, and cannot get cavities.
DENTURES
When replacements are required for entire sections of teeth, dentures are used to create structural support systems for your cheeks and lips. We will work with you to see which size and materials best fit your oral health needs.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Jaw pain is often caused by problems with alignment of your teeth. However, similar pain can also be the result of overworked jaw muscles. TMJ therapy is one step in providing relief. Through diagnosing and treatment of the underlying cause, we can help reduce headaches, improve comfort and make recommendations that are right for you.
